Julia Genera, 69 of Hayward, CA, passed away on March 4, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on March 24, 1949.Julia graduated from Edgewood HS in San Antonio and received her LVN Degree from Chabot College in Hayward.She was married to Joe Genera on September 6, 1969. They enjoyed traveling and she loved to collect antiques.She is survived by her son Martin Genera and his wife Sandra, daughters Lisa Genera, and Danielle Genera and her fiancee Brendan Culver-Rease. She loved her grandchildren Santiago & Marcos Genera 20 & 18 and Julian & Emma Rease 10 & 2. She is also survived by her brothers Jimmy and Jesse Villarreal and sister Juliana Esparza in San Antonio. Julia was preceded in death by her parents, James Villarreal and Julia Villarreal Noiseux and brother Johnny Villarreal. She will always be remembered by many family members and friends.Funeral services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CAFriday, March 15th. Public viewing will begin at 10 am with service at 12 noon.Reception to follow at Sandra & Martin’s house at 515 Kim Place, Hayward, CA 94544.
