Judy Belandres-LueOn Wednesday, July 16th, our beloved wife, mother, sister and daughter, Judy Belandres-Lue, passed into eternal rest.Judy was born to Rogelio Belandres and Louella Somera Belandres on October 16, 1962 in Quezon City, Philippines. In 1971, she came to the U.S. to join her parents in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to San Jose, CA in 1974. Judy graduated from Independence High School in 1981 and received an AA from Mission College in Santa Clara. She married Kent Lue in San Jose on September 10, 1988 and eventually settled in Union City, CA in 1997.After college, Judy worked in accounting at various companies in the Bay Area, ultimately finding ideal employment with Nektar Therapeutics, where she worked from June 2000 until the time of her passing.Judy was a practicing Roman Catholic at St. Anne’s Church in Union City. She loved to travel and vacationed in Hawaii, Niagara Falls, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa, Cabo San Lucas, Bahamas, Aruba, France, England and Australia. Judy also loved to cook and entertain, always the graceful hostess for holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and any other occasion when a reason could be found to have a party.Judy is survived by her soul mate of 35 years and husband of 26 years, Kent Lue, and their twin sons, Douglas and Derek. Judy is also survived by her sisters, Audrey, Roberta and Michelle, her brothers, Manuel, Lambert, Rodney and Jorell, her mother, Louella Somera, her father, Rogelio Belandres, her nephews, Raymond, Jorell, Miles, Martin Jr., Lambert Jr. and Manuel IV and her niece, Amandla.The viewing will be held between 12:00 PM and 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 29th, at St. Anne’s Church in Union City. The Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM the same day. Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 30th, also at St. Anne’s Church. The reception will follow at a location to be announced after Mass.
