Judy Alvarado's Obituary
Judy Alvarado, 61, of Union City, passed away on October 12, 2018. She was born in Oakland, California on June 3, 1957 to John and Carole Pelletier. Judy grew up in the hills of Fairway Park, along with 3 sisters, Lynn Rose (1953-1999), Susan Pelletier, and Elizabeth Taggart. Judy attended El Rancho Verde Elementary School, Barnard-White Middle School, and then graduated from James Logan High School as the class of 1975, where she met and later married her husband of 38 years, Ernie Alvarado. Judy worked for the New Haven Unified School District and was an active member of the Union City National Little League where her two sons, Andrew Alvarado and Adam Alvarado, played until the age of 15. Thereafter, she continued her love of watching her sons play by being active in the baseball organizations following little league, the American Legion and Connie Mac programs. Judy loved shopping and cooking with her only daughter, Jessica Gonzalez, and did anything she could to spoil her grandchildren. Judy loved watching the movie, Coco, with her two grandchildren. Judy is survived by her husband, Ernie Alvarado, her eldest son, Andrew Alvarado and daughter-in-law, Natalia Alvarado, son, Adam Alvarado, daughter, Jessica Gonzalez and son-in-law, Sergio Gonzalez, two grandchildren, Josephine Gonzalez, 4, and Vincent Gonzalez, 22 months, and sister, Susan Pelletier. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Sunday, October 21st at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544.
