Joyce Ogao Nasario's Obituary
Joyce Ogao Nasario passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 25, 2021 at her home in Hayward, California.
Joyce was born in Kauai, Hawaii on October 2, 1943 to her parents Franklin “Sonny” and Margaret Gonsalves Ogao, she was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers Franklin (Gail) “Butch” Ogao (12/18/2020) and John (Loretta”) Wilfred Ogao (9/17/2020).
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years Gerald “Kookie” Nasario and her 2 sons Gerald James (Renee) Nasario II, Derek Dean Nasario. Her grandchildren Antoine Keoni Nasario, Kiani Lynn (Rob) Gemoya, Payge Keikilani Nasario and great grandchildren Rainen, Kainoa, Melia and Leilani Gemoya, as well as many other loving family members.
Besides taking care of her family Joyce was extremely generous to anyone with a need. She left Kauai in 1955 for San Francisco and later made her home in Hayward, however, Kauai always stayed close to her heart. Joyce was very spiritual in nature and would always send blessings to everyone that came into her life.
Per her request and respect for her wish’s services will be private for immediate family members.
