Joyce Lien's Obituary
Joyce Lien, 83, transitioned on November 23rd, 2019 after a short illness. She will be laid to rest in Chapel of Chimes, Hayward, CA.Joyce was born on Nov 12th, 1936 in Taichung, Taiwan. As a teenager she loved to dance and became an expert seamstress and dress designer. In 1961 she married Suei Chung (James) Lien with whom she went on to have two sons and two daughters. After immigrating to the United States in the 1970’s Joyce went on to live the American Dream by opening her own business, Paris Boutique, in the late 1980’s.Joyce’s family will always remember her as one of the most humble, kind and hard-working individuals one could meet who also loved flowers and anything pink or orange. She will be sorely missed but will always remain in their hearts. Joyce was predeceased by her daughter, Michele. She is survived by her husband (Suei Chung), two sons (John and Peter) and daughter (Chris), son-in-law (John), daughters-in-law (Liz and Katherine), grandsons (Justin, Nick, Jack, and Alex) as well as a host of relatives around the world.In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Joyce’s memory to the New Jersey Buddhist Vihara in Franklin, NJ or a charity of your choice.If the funeral home can – Princeton Packet, Town Topics (Princeton) and Trenton Times would be good places to put the notice.
