Joseph Stelly, Jr. born on January 15, 1946, died September 24, 2017. He was born and raised in Opelousas, La. and resided in Castro Valley, CA for 40 years. He was married to Monika Dresp and has one son, Michael Stelly, wife Laura Inman.Joseph, sometimes known as Joe or Junior had four sisters, all from Louisiana. They are Dorothy, husband Paul Burleigh, Geraldine (Dina) Stelly, Mary, husband Johnny Jarreau, and Vickie, husband Randy Thomas. He also had two brothers, Glenn Richard, wife Karin Verzqyvelt, from Mississippi and Kenneth Richard, wife Becky Wilson from Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara Laird, brothers, Floyd Stelly and Gerald Richard.He was a veteran, served in the Army for 8 years. One of those years was in Vietnam. He retired from Club Sport after 20 years. His hobbies were coaching Little League for 19 years, duck hunting, fishing, and taking care of his family. He was also a LSU tiger fan.
