Joseph Di Stefano's Obituary
Joseph Sam DiStefano passed away on August 1, 2017 in San Lorenzo, California at the age 89 years old with his loving family close by. Joseph was born on August 28, 1927 in Oakland, California and was the son of Carlo and Josephine (Palazzotto) DiStefano and was the youngest of 11 siblings, 5 siblings Vincenzo, Vincenzo, Carmela, Carmela, Baby DiStefano died at a young age. Joseph worked in his father’s Restaurant in Oakland. Joseph served in WWII and the Korean War as a cook. His primary occupation was freight carrier working for “Pacific Motor Trucking Company” until 1987. On July 11, 1948 in Oakland, California Joseph married the late Alfreda Lois Roberts. He is survived by one son John (Lynn) DiStefano, four grandchildren Scott (Tina) DiStefano, Anthony DiStefano, Elizabeth DiStefano, and Aaron (Enaanake) DiStefano and a great grandson Jacob Knipper and step grandchildren Daniel, Kimberlee, Jarred, Rhiannon DuQuette. He was preceded in death by his sibling Lucy Cancilla, Madelina Riele, Ciro DiStefano, Vincent Distefano, and Rosolino Distefano. Joseph’s wishes is there will be no funeral or Viewing.
