Joseph Charles Leone, born Tuesday, March 21st, 1922 in San Francisco, California; Entered into rest on Monday, October 28th, 2013 in Hayward, California. Age 91 years. A longtime resident of Hayward.Survived by his loving wife of 72-1/2 years, Gladys, who was his true love (and he told her so every day); by his daughter, Pat (Jack); a son, Jim (Laurie); a granddaughter, Wendy (Mark), and by his brother Bob (Ethel), as well as by many relatives and dear friends. Predeceased by his grandson, Michael.Proudly served his country in the 5th Marines, and saw action at Iwo Jima and the Pacific Theater during WWII.Anyone that knew him, knew that he loved his cars. He was also an avid bowler who played on a league for many years. He enjoyed spending many weekends on the Delta with family and friends, while also enjoying gambling trips with his wife. He was known for always doing nice things for others, and for valuing his family and friends. He will be truly missed.At his request, no services were held.
