Joseph K. Gonzalves' Obituary
Our big brother Joe, left us on 2/20/2020. He was 73 years old & a 4 year veteran of the United States Navy from 1/24/1965 to 1/24/1969. He served on the USS AUSTIN (LPD-4) at Norfolk, Virginia & received an Honorable Discharge at the rank of E3. He was proud of his military service but more proud of Grandpa Joe & our father Joe Jr's. service before him. He & dad were best friends. Joe had the his medals, my medals & dad's medals hanging on the wall in his living room & a picture of grandpa & dad also in military uniform.
Joe is preceded in death by our father in 1990, our stepfather Vince Cordeiro in 2009, our mother Violet Cordeiro in 1995, sister JoAnn Hall in 1997, half sister Anna Marie in 2006, & half brother Kenny in 2014.
He is survived by our stepmother Marge Gonzalves, stepsister Theresa Heuer, half brother Johnny, his brother Edward & daughters Gina Gonzalves & Jody.
There will be a memorial service honoring Joey's life at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, on 04/18/2020 at 1pm.
He will be missed! We love & salute you Joey...
