Joseph Colon a Fremont resident entered into rest Sunday, October 28, 2001 in his home in Fremont, CA. Born in Honolulu, HI on August 27, 1924, he was 77 years of age. Dearly beloved husband of Caroline S. Colon and loving father of Toni Sayers of Turlock, CA, Lovina Martinez of San Francisco, CA, Lucille Colon of San Francisco, CA and Joseph Colon, Jr. of Fountain, OH. Dear brother of Pauline Lopez of Las Vegas, NV, Vivian Rodriguez of Melbrae, CA, Vicki Jane Arellano of San Francisco, CA and Raymond Colon of Hayward, CA. Devoted grandfather of twenty-six grandchildren and great grandfather of 12 grandchildren. Joseph Colon was a boxer in his early years in the 40's and 50's. He loved to dance, he loved all sports and he was especially a 49' er fanatic. He always liked to party. One of his most favorite pass times was spending time with his family and friends. Joseph worked for 40 years as a Welder for Pacific Coast Shipyards.Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2001 and Wednesday, October 31, 2001from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend the Rosary on Wednesday, October 31, 2001at 7:00 p.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 1,2001 at 1:30 p.m. with the interment to follow.
