Jose G. Silva's Obituary
Jose Guadalupe Silva was born on September 30, 1936 to Jesus Silva and Maria Avila Silva in Zacatecas, Mexico. He met and later married his wife of 45 years, Bertha Romero Silva, in Santa Paula, CA while working side by side as farm laborers harvesting crops in Ventura County. He is survived by his wife and their four children, Javier Silva, Alberto Silva, Jasmin Silva Laniohan and Anna Silva. Jose is also survived by his six beautiful grandchildren and one on the way: Raymond (23), Gavin (11), Niali (9), Ava (7), Natalia (5), Camila (2), and Gabriel (5/19/2016). Jose was a hard worker with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. He would do almost anything to make his kids laugh. He enjoyed going fishing and watching old black and white movies, especially Kung Fu.Although he spent the latter part of his life struggling with chronic illness, he is remembered for the caring, kind and self-sacrificing person that he was.Come to Me The lord saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered come to me. With tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your tender hands at rest. God took you home to prove to us, he only takes the best.
