Jose Luis Romero Jr., age 53, passed away on December 10, 2025, at Kaiser Hospital in Fremont, California.
Jose was born on December 6, 1972, in Castro Valley, California. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Diana, to whom he was married for 29 years, and a loving father whose life revolved around his family. Jose was known for his kindness, strength, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
For nearly 19 years, Jose dedicated himself to his career at UMO Steel, where he served as Shop Superintendent. He was deeply respected for his leadership and strong work ethic, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and workplace through his integrity, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
Jose courageously battled cancer for three and a half years, never losing the will to live. He lived each day for his family, drawing strength from their love and giving strength in return through his perseverance and determination. During his journey, Jose accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, finding peace and hope in his faith.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diana; his cherished children, daughter Elissa Haydee and son Jose Daniel; his precious granddaughter, Valentina; his loving mother, Francisca; and his brothers, Federico and Ramon. He was also a beloved son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, godfather, cousin, and friend, whose warmth and generosity touched many lives.
Though his time with us was far too short, Jose’s legacy of love, faith, and devotion to family will live on forever. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him
