Jose Sebastiao Ornelas was born on January 20th, 1942 in Santana, Madeira Portugal. He grew up on a farm with his parents, sister, and brother. He married Matilde Miranda and had his first daughter, Anna Ornelas in Portugal. He later migrated to the United States in search of more opportunities for him and his family on August 13, 1969. He then had a son, Joseph David Ornelas. Jose spent his life working at Golden Grain Macaroni as a machine operator for 20 years. He loved his job and his family very much. Jose enjoyed long walks, camping, making (and drinking) wine, cooking, eating, building, and his best friend, Chip. Jose leaves behind his beloved wife, Matilde, daughter, Anna, son, David, sister, Maria, brother, Manuel, grandchildren, Alicia, Victoria, Bradley, Makenna; and three loving cats, Nick, Emma, and Princess.
Private visitation services for Jose will be held on Tuesday, May 12th starting at 4:30p-9:00p at Mission Chapel, followed by mass services and burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Wednesday, May 13th from 9:00a-11:30a.
