Jose Suarez Crisostomo's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jose Suarez Crisostomo, resident of Oakland, CA.
Jose, also known as “Joe” to his close family and friends, was born in the Philippines on August 13, 1933. Since immigrating from the Philippines in the early 1970s, he was a journeyman for several manufacturing corporations including The Box Factory, Dennison Eastman, and Packaging Industries.
His hobbies included playing bingo, bowling, golf, billiards, and owning the dance floor and karaoke microphone. Joe’s approach to life was one of boundless enthusiasm and generosity - prior to the pandemic he volunteered his time helping others at the Mastick Senior Center in Alameda, CA. He loved watching all sports - from watching the horses at the racetrack to catching a baseball or football game on TV. His loyalty to the San Francisco 49ers was endless and looked forward to them winning a Super Bowl once again.
Joe passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024 in Oakland, California at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife, Anita, of almost 50 years, five children, two son-in-laws, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. We ask that you please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life and Prayer Service will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.
