Jose Alfredo Berdeja's Obituary
Jose A. Berdeja was born April 28, 1963 in San Francisco, California to Andres and Irene Berdeja. He was the second of five children. When Jose was 10 the family moved to Newark where he attended Schilling Elementary, Silva Jr. High and Memorial High School. Jose kept himself busy running his business, instructing yoga and teaching music. In his spare time he enjoyed history, music, riding his bike, and learning about other cultures and languages. Jose’s family and friend describe him as giving, kind, introspective, curious, friendly, entrepreneurial, and above all having a strong Christian faith. Jose is survived by brothers, Andres (Gari) Berdeja and Daniel (Lisa) Berdeja, sisters Lucia (Jeff) Silva, and Irene Berdeja, nephews Andres, Valentin, Reuben and Daniel, nieces Jasmine and Antoinette
