Jonathan was born in San Jose, California, on April 17th, 1983, to his loving parents, Carol and the late Garry Garrigus. He was a beloved brother to Christopher, Stephanie, and Timothy Garrigus, and his loyal canine companion, Toro, brought endless joy to his life. Jonathan even took the time to teach Toro how to navigate the slide at the nearby park. Jonathan's role as a brother was only one facet of his loving nature. He was also a devoted and supportive son to his mother, Carol Garrigus. In addition to these familial bonds, Jonathan held a special place as a cherished nephew, a dear cousin, and a true friend to many. Jonathan's passion for the great outdoors was boundless. As an avid fisherman, he found solace and exhilaration in the serenity of nature. His striking blue eyes seemed to reflect the depths of the lakes and rivers he so cherished. Yet, beyond his love for nature, Jonathan was known for the extraordinary size of his heart. He possessed a rare and genuine kindness, always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need. Even in the face of mistakes, Jonathan had the remarkable ability to apologize and forgive, exemplifying the true spirit of compassion. Tall and handsome, Jonathan's physical presence was matched by the enormity of his heart. His laughter was infectious, and he radiated warmth and joy wherever he went. His enduring friendships served as beacons of light for all who had the privilege of knowing him. Today, as we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, son, nephew, cousin, and friend, we find solace in the knowledge that Jonathan has found peace, reuniting with our father, Garry, and our grandparents in eternal rest. Jonathan, you will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever reside in the hearts of those you touched. Rest in peace, dear brother and son, knowing that your legacy of love, forgiveness, and kindness lives on in all of us. We look forward to reuniting with you at heaven's gates.
