John Aguilar Vigallon's Obituary
The good Lord decided to take John Aguilar Vigallon on Thursday May 8th. He was 91 years old. John was born on March 13, 1928 the 17th child out of 18 children born to Ralph and Constance Vigallon. He was born in Oakland and raised in San Leandro where he met the love of his life Dolores Rodriguez.On February 3rd 1951 they married and this year celebrated their 68th anniversary. Out of the 18 brothers and sisters only 12 survived until adulthood. John was the last brother to pass. John spent most of his childhood helping out his family like his older brothers did. He would get up cut grass for the rabbits then go to work at the bakery a few hours before delivering his news papers. It became hard for him to do this everyday and keep up with school so he left school in the 11th grade. John took up cabinet making as his trade. Working alongside his brother and best friend Tony Vigallon they founded T J Cabinets. John retired as a cabinet maker at the age of 59 he was retired 42 years.John is survived by his wife Dolores Rodriguez Vigallon his son John M. Vigallon and his daughter Connie Crabb. John and Dolores had three children. Their second born daughter Dori died of cancer last year leaving a hole in his heart. John served four years in the Air Force and he was the kind of man who lived for his family, he supported his wife’s mother for 40 years and never complained about her living with them. He was the Cub Scout Pack Leader for Pack 509 in the fifties and was their for his children his entire life. Dolores says,”my husband was blessed to have everything he ever wanted” from cars and trucks to Motorcycles and motor homes. He had Three children 10 grand children 27 great grandchildren and and four great great grandchildren He was loved by so many he loved to dance ride motorcycles travel and work in his garage shop and garden. He will truly be missed
