On August 19, 2016, John Edward Suydam passed from complications of Colon Cancer.John was a loving husband of 50 years to Patricia Suydam. John and Patricia began their life together as soon as he joined the United States Air Force.They made a permanent home in Union City.John was an adoring father to his 6 children and their significant others: Lisa and Rad Eric and Lisa Chris and Lori Rachel and Patrick Jordan and Gina Matt and DanielleHe was a doting Gramps to his 5 grandchildren: Taylor, Jacob, Alli, Mark, Jesse and his honorary grandson Xzander.John had recently retired from Nob Hill/Raley’s after 45 years. He wanted to stay in the grocery loop and began working with Red Bull. He loved driving and talking with people so naturally, UBER was the perfect fit for him.Services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on Sunday, August 28 at 1p.In lieu of flowers please make donations to The American Cancer Society on behalf of his family.
