John G. Santos' Obituary
John Santos entered peacefully into rest on March 3rd, 2017 in Fremont, California. Born on August 17th, 1926, he was 90.Loving husband of Merle Santos, beloved father of Jaynee Caruso and son-in-law Bill Caruso of Castro Valley, sons-in-law Gene Mello and John Lopez, and devoted grandfather of Billy Caruso, Johnny Lopez, JuLee Caruso, Derek Mello, and proud great-grandfather of six. John was preceded in death by his cherished daughter Sheri Mello.John was a US Navy veteran of WWII, and avid hunter, fisherman, camper, and loved to dance. He was a 50 year member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion and Five Spot Dance Club.Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday evening, March 8th, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be held on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at 10:00 am at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA.
