JOHN "JACK" MOREY FITSCHEN, entered peacefully into rest after a long illness at San Leandro Hospital on Tuesday, June 18, 2002. He was 82 years old. Jack was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 25, 1920. Jack retired after working for 25 years for Urschel Laboratories. When he finally retired he was a Western Regional Manager. Jack served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Technician 5th grade. Jack has been a resident of Oakland for 60 years.Jack is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude "Trudy" E. Fitschen of Oakland, California. At Jack's request no services will be held.
