I knew John for over forty years. He was a gentleman and a scholar. He was a friend to me when I broke up with my first wife and I stayed with him while repairing my life.I was thinking that i probably never thanked him for his help then and his friendship since then. So thank you John! Martin Schlissel##imported-begin##Martin Schlissel##imported-end##
JohnWe will miss your your presence and your zany humor at our parties. We lost a good one. May you rest, smiling, in peace.Rose##imported-begin##Rose Ashford##imported-end##

I’m so shocked and saddened to learn of John’s death. We talked in Reno this summer and he seemed good.John was the editor of “The Intelligencer” when I joined Mensa and then replaced Len Rickard as RVC. He added a lot to the organization and will definitely be missed.May he rest peacefully.SueAnn##imported-begin##SueAnn Gilmore##imported-end##
