John Chin August 25, 1931 – July 21, 2016John Chin passed away suddenly on July 21, 2016 at his home in Alameda.John is survived by his wife Fern (Cope), and was the loving father of John Chin Jr., Gary Chin (Sienna), Cynthia Wallace (Stephen), Eric Chin (Kelly), and Michael Chin; Grandfather to Jaime Fuchs (Steve), Laura Chin, Miles and Conner Wallace, Conrad and Austin Chin; former father-in-law to Teresa (Beaverson) Chin.Brother to May Chan and Jim Chin (Evelyn). He was predeceased by brothers Chester (Patricia) and Walter (Velda) Chin. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and other family members.John served in the U.S Army Occupational forces in Osaka, Japan from September 1946 through February 1948. John attended Golden Gate University and enjoyed a long and successful career in the adhesives industry, retiring at the age of 72.Hunting and fishing gave him many happy hours in the great outdoors throughout his life.A native of San Francisco; he will be well remembered by his family and far reaching friends.
