John Basile's Obituary
John J. Basile, formerly of Alameda County, passed away on January 18, 2018. A resident of California for many years after being raised in New Jersey, John was a proud Marine veteran and graduate of Roselle Catholic High School and Seton Hall University. He was a talented writer and chef.John loved fishing, all things Italian and spending time at the Jersey shore. He was greatly loved by his family and friends who will miss his quick wit, funny stories and his home-made recipes.He is survived by his brother, Joseph, and his sister, Jacqueline. The family is planning a future memorial service to be held in NJ. The family suggests donations in memory of John be made to the Fisher House Foundation www.fisherhouse.org
