John C. Arial Jan. 2, 1919 – July 18, 2009 Resident of Hayward John peacefully passed away at the age of 90 surrounded by his family on Saturday Morning July 18th at his home in Hayward. John was the Beloved husband of Jennie M. Arial, devoted Father of Jacob Arial and Betty Rivera and the cherished Grandfather of Donna Rivera-Ortiz, Robert Rivera Jr, Diana Rivera, Johnny Arial and Tara Harrup, Grandfather treasured by his Great Grandaughters Angelina Rivera, Naomi Rivera and Natalie Rivera, and his Great Grandsons Aeden Harrup, Silas Harrup and Michael Arial. John lived long enough to know his two Great-Great Grandsons Elijah Postell and Izaiah Postell. John was born in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii on January 2, 1919 son of Antoinne Arial and Sandra Correa. On April 1st, 1939 he married Jennie Mohica then moved to California in April of 1957. He retired from Ameron Pipe company after serving over 30 years as a lead Welder under the Teamsters Union Local. John had a passion for Organic Gardening, Raising Champion Pigeons, Listening to music , and watching Hawaiian dancing. He enjoyed telling stories and loved to make everyone laugh with his jokes. More importantly was the time spent with family. John was a true family man with a heart of gold, with a great sense of humor and peaceful lifestyle, John was always kind, always loving and always there. He touched many lives and will live in our hearts forever. John’s family sends an invitation to all friends and family members to attend his Service on Thursday July 23rd viewing starts at 5:30pm with services at 7:00pm. The Funeral /Burial will take place on Friday July 24th at 10:00am at the Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward (510) 471-3363.
