Joginder Singh's Obituary
On Wednesday, September 30th 2020, Sardar Joginder Singh, a beautiful soul, a loving
husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 76. He was born on January 27, 1944
in Pakistan. At the age of 4, he and his family moved to Jalandhar, India. Joginder graduated
high school and married his soulmate, Kulwant. Together they raised four children but for the
last 7 joy filled years of his life Joginder spent it with his wife, youngest daughter Paramjit and
his 3 grandkids in Santa Cruz, California. He worked as a contractor and agriculturalist. Joginder
was a hard-working, diligent man who wanted to give his wife and children the best. He was a
man of his word, man with a big heart and an even bigger smile. He was known for his quick
wit, his kind and compassionate spirit and wise words.
Joginder found joy in spending time with his grandkids, playing board games (although
he would deny any cheating), going on walks, watching movies and listening to music. Joginder
was a big sports fan, he loved watching basketball, especially his favorite player Stephen Curry.
Go Warriors! He loved to play tug a war with his favorite dogs, Blue and Kita. Joginder was a
big fan of food. He enjoyed cooking as much as he enjoyed eating.
In the midst of it all, Joginder was diagnosed with renal failure (kidney failure) which
required him to make changes to his lifestyle, but he did not let that stop him from living life to
the fullest. He was a strong man, even when the odds were not always in his favor, he never once
gave up, giving up was not a moral he lived by. Joginder had the strength to get up everyday and
live his life not letting the negativity impact him.
Joginder Singh was a true inspiration of how to never give up, no matter how tough life
got. He lived a beautiful and colorful life. He deserved the world and more. Papa ji, we are
beyond thankful for all the love and joy you brought into our lives. We will always keep you in
our hearts and love you endlessly. Until we meet again, Rest in peace. Mera piara Budha
