Joe P. Martinez Born Dec. 8, 1927, in Silver City, New Mexico. Joe P. Martinez passed, peacefully in his sleep, at his home in Hayward, Ca., on July 7, 2017. Proceeded in death by his wife, Irene G. Martinez, and son, Ernie Martinez, also his brothers Ray Martinez, Richard Martinez, and sister, Florence Sanchez. Survived by his children, Patricia Martinez, Michael Martinez, Frank Martinez, Rebecca Martinez. Survived by brothers Jessie Martinez, Lucio Martinez, sisters, Mary Sanchez, Rosie Arguellez, Connie Moya. Survived by 11 grand children, 13 great grand children, and 2 great grand children, whom he loved dearly. Joe, served in the Korean War, as a Master Sergeant. Joe worked for General Motors and retired. Joe lived in Hayward most of his life. Joe, was a strong, loving, and supportive Father to his children and they loved him dearly. Joe was known by many and loved by everyone who knew him.
