Joanna Bond Morton a San Leandro, California resident entered into rest Thursday, May 29, 2003 in San Leandro. Born in Lubbock, Texas on April 28, 1926, she was 77 years of age. Joanna moved to San Leandro at the age of sixteen. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed gardening and reading. She loves spending time with her grandchildren Christina Morton, Jemery Morton, Shannon Stuart and Nora Stuart, all of Hayward. Joanna married Jimmie Lee Morton on February 21, 1948.Dearly beloved wife of Jimmie L. Morton for 55 years. Loving mother of Janis & Dewayne Stuart of Hayward, John & Joanna Morton of Hayward and James Morton of San Leandro. Devoted grandmother of tour grandchildren.Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Church of Christ, 601 MacArthur Blvd., San Leandro, CA.Arrangements made by Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA.
