Joan Carol Hawes' Obituary
Joan Hawes was born in Denver, Colorado on April 24, 1933 and passed away on March 3, 2017 at the age of 83. Joan loved gardening, reading and spending time with her family and friends. Joan became an avid sports fan of the SF Giants and the Warriors. She seldom missed watching or listening to a game! She also loved watching the Blue Angels each year. Joan was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Harlow Hawes. Joan is survived by her son, Scott Hawes, daughter, Vicki Rose and her husband, Tony. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Christine Kelso, Nikki Tetzlaff and James Rose. She also had 3 wonderful great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Joshua and Mackenzie. Joan’s family will be holding a service celebrating her life on March 25, 2017, from 1:00-4:00pm, in the Mission Room, Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz.
