Joan Ann Cicciarella Ciampi's Obituary
Joan Ann Ciampi, born Joan Ann Cicciarella on April 20, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. Second generation Sicilian heritage, her family moved to California when she was 17 years old. She later married Jim Fay and gave birth to her first child, a son, Timothy. Later, she remarried to Gary Ciampi and together they had two more children, daughters, Kristina and Gina and resided in Burlingame, CA.
Joan was a resident of San Mateo County the majority of her life. Joan was a graphic artist in the early days before digital design became popular. Joan also was a local Burlingame business owner, realtor, and property manager. She had a strong work ethic and worked full-time until age 81 when she retired from property management. She selflessly gave her life to support and care for her children and ensure their successes.
Joan is survived by her son, Timothy, and her two daughters Kristina and Gina, and seven grandchildren. Memorial Mass to be held Saturday, June 6th, 2020 at 11 am, St. Catherine of Siena Church on Bayswater Ave. in Burlingame where she was a member.
