Jiselle Praxy Barcelon Castro's Obituary
Jiselle Praxy Barcelon Castro
December 10, 2003 - September 19, 2023
Jiselle, 19, was born in Hayward, California and she passed away on September 19. She is already tremendously missed by her family including her father Jojit , her mother, Rosalinda, her sisters, Ate Joyce and Rihanna, her brothers, Sean, Jayden, and Jonah, her step-siblings and step-parents, her extended family and friends. Jiselle was greeted in heaven by her grandparents and other relatives who have predeceased her.
Jiselle loved deeply and wanted to make those around her happy. She possessed a radiant smile that could light up the darkest of days and a compassionate heart that knew no bounds. She was adventurous and loved to walk around the different cities. Jiselle loved to travel and wanted to travel more. Jiselle was connected to her journeys to the Philippines, and enjoyed fulfilling the family goal of staying at least one night in each of the 50 states, she was able to visit 11. Hawaii was her favorite and got to visit twice.
Jiselle thrived in the simple pleasures in life - like taking selfies, cooking, dancing and spending time sharing a meal with family and friends. She had a big personality and expressed herself with fashion. She loved her red, vibrant hair, having her nails and eyelashes done, wearing her Jordans and representing her tattoos, which meant a lot to her.
Jiselle was so smart, helpful and contributed to the successes of the family businesses, balancing finances came easy to her. She had a great sense of humor and was always trying to make people laugh. A recent graduate of San Leandro High School, Jiselle hoped to one day pursue education for a career in helping children with special needs. Though her time with us was brief, Jiselle’s legacy will live on through the love and kindness she shared with the world.
We will celebrate Jiselle’s life with viewings on Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th from 4pm-8pm at Chapel of Chimes in Hayward. Mass will be held on Monday, October 9th at 10:30am at St. John Catholic Church with burial to be held at Chapel of the Chimes at 12:15pm.
Rest in peace dear Jiselle your light will forever shine in our hearts and your memory will be a guiding star in our lives.
