Jimmy Frank Clark Sr.“Big Jim/Toppy”Jimmy Frank Clark Sr. was born in Fannin, Mississippi July 25, 1934. He was born to Robert (Bob)Clark and Roberta Hunter Clark. Of this union six children were born: Jimmy Clark, W.A. Clark,Jessie (Mamay) McIntyre, Clarence (Sunny) Clark, Rose Marie (Muchie) Clark and Melvin ClarkSr.Jimmy accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful praying member. He was educated in theBrandon Mississippi School District and shortly after joined the United States Army. Jimmy latermoved to Jackson, Mississippi where he worked for the Jackson Sanitation Department and laterbegan his career as a Repair Technician at the Mississippi Steel Mill.Jimmy met Eva Lee Lewis and from this relationship came four children: Lucille Gloria English,Jimmy Frank Clark Jr., Terry Marie Cameron, and Robert Lee Lewis. He later met Lillian Steeleand of this relationship was born Earnestine Steele. Jimmy later met and married Bobbie JeanHarmon and of this union four children were born: Curtis Clark Winters, Sandra Clark, JimmieDenise Clark and Renwick (Renny) Clark.Jimmy Clark Sr. also embraced and was loved by Jessie Lee White Thomas, Ernestine Glass,Pauline Jones, Gil Lewis, Gail Lewis, Eddie (Brother) Winters and Gladys (Lois) Winters.Upon retirement from the Mississippi Steel Mill Jimmy Clark Sr. relocated to Oakland, CA in 1985.He became a member of Progressive Missionary Baptist Church of Berkeley, CA where he served asan esteemed member of the Deacon Board and Male Chorus. In addition to these roles he served asParking Lot Security a job that he loved which allowed him to greet and welcome all who came.Furthermore, he offered his time as a support and volunteer to the Soul Care Ministry allowing himto minister and help bring souls closer to Christ. Jimmy was loved and respected by manythroughout the Berkeley and Oakland communities. His warm smile and friendly personality werealways welcome. His boisterous laugh and resounding hand clap will forever be heard in our hearts.Jimmy is preceded in death by his loving parents, his wife Bobbie Jean Harmon Clark, his siblingsand three of his children: Jimmie Denise, Lucille Gloria, and Terry Marie. Jimmy leaves to cherishhis memories: Jimmy Clark Jr. (Laura) CA, Earnestine Steele MS, Curtis Clark Winters (Tracey)GA, Sandra Clark GA, Renwick Clark MS, Robert Lewis (Gertrude) CA; 17 Grandchildren, 23Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aspecial Aunt Catherine of Meridian, MS, a loving devoted church family and friends.We Love You Jimmy!
