Jewel "Joe" White's Obituary
Mr. Jewel “Joe” White Resident of Hayward, CA Died Monday, January 25 ,2010 at Washington Hospital in Fremont. He was 82. Mr. White was a native of Hornersville, MO and was born April 17, 1927. He was in the grocery and food retail business most of his career life and served in the U. S. Navy from 1945 to 1946. He is survived by his brother Bewel White of Kennett, MO and his sister Linda Walker of Columbia, MO. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Bonnie Jane White, and son Randal S. White and wife, Cindy, of Castro Valley and Cynthia L. Norsworthy and husband Robert of Danville. He has left behind 7 grandchildren: Leisa Sollenberger of San Francisco, Joel Norsworthy of San Francisco, Danielle Walker of Danville, Rebecca White of Walnut Creek, Andrea White of Walnut Creek, Laura White and Katy White of Castro Valley. The family would all like to thank Washington Hospital for taking care of Dad until the very end. Joe was a man who loved life, dancing, movies, politics and his family. He will be missed by so many! Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 29 at 1:30 at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward and officiated by Pastor Mike Henderson of Sacramento, Joe’s nephew.
