Jewel "Jo" Protto a San Leandro, California resident entered into rest Wednesday, March 26, 2003 in Pleasanton, California. Born in Marshall, Texas on January 5, 1925, she was 78 years of age. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1942. Chabot college graduate. Member of the Eden Garden Club, Y-Knott club, CRS Travelers and the Raqueteers Tennis Club. She was an usher at Paramount Theatre in Oakland. Among many other numerous clubs and social groups.Dearly beloved wife of Leonard Protto for 60 years. Loving mother of Kim and Matt Duckworth of Pleasanton, California and Jim and Amy Protto of Estes Park, Colorado. Dear sister of Elizabeth Muckleroy of Brennam, Texas and Sturgeon Lanier of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Devoted grandmother of two grandchildren; Tamara and John Protto of Los Angeles, California and one great grandchild; Aliya Protto of Los Angeles, California. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2003 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. "Service of Marked Distinction"
