Jennie Benevides' Obituary
Jennie Benevides, 86 of Hayward, California, passed away on Tuesday June 12th at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 18, 1926 in New Mexico to the (late) Mr. & Mrs. Juan Martinez and later adopted by her godparents (late) Mr. & Mrs. Sebaseian Armijo, she married the late William Benevides also known as “Mr. B”. They moved to California in 1946 & lived in Hayward for 56 years. Jennie worked for Gerber in Oakland for 27 years, she retired in 1983. She enjoyed helping neighbors and friends and was loved by many with her loving heart and thoughful gestures. She was an activ emember of St. Clements Catholic Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Benevides was preceded in death by husband William Benevides, Sr., a son Paul Benevides, a grandson Michael Maddox-Benevides. She is survived by son William (Vicki) Benevides II of Elk Grove, a daughter Netti (Art) Curtis of Tracy, a son Randy (Cindy) Benevides of Antioch, 7 Grandchildren Nathan (Lynn) Benevides of Vacaville, Kathryn (Jimmy) Meyer of Tracy, Kimberly (Chris) Gleese of Modesto , Jeannie (Brad) Harmon of Cameron Park, Kiristy (Steven) arton of Sacramento, Nicholas Benevides of Tracy, Ashleigh (Gary) Nibert of Antioch, 8 Great-Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Granddaugher.
