Jeffrey Allen Yapo's Obituary
It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of our beloved, Jeffrey Allen Yapo. Jeff was born on December 6, 1972 and passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2021 at the age of 48. He leaves behind his children, Maddie and Max, whom he loved dearly. Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Naomi M. Yapo. He is survived by his father, Manuel F. Yapo and his sisters, Mary Ann Caron and Emily M. Yapo. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Monika Tanedo, his nieces and nephews and many extended family members, friends and colleagues.
Jeff spent most of his childhood in Norfolk, VA and moved to Newark, CA as a teenager. He graduated from Newark Memorial High School and received his undergraduate degree in Sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jeff furthered his education at Golden Gate University where he attended law school and received his Juris Doctor degree.
He started his law career shortly after receiving his law degree and worked at Visa as Director for Global Trademark and Brand over the last 14 years.
Jeff enjoyed hiking, traveling and riding his bike. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Jeff, we miss you dearly. Your wit, laughter and smile will always be remembered.
