Jean Marie Wilson 's Obituary
Jean Marie Wilson (Colvin) went to her peaceful rest on January 15, 2020 in Hayward, California.
Jean was born in San Francisco, California, September 25, 1934 to Russell and Evelyn Colvin. She married Eugene Wilson on June 18, 1952 in Redwood City, California and moved to Alameda, California shortly thereafter. Together they had two sons, Steve and Michael. They then became residents of San Leandro, California. Jean was a loving homemaker, Sunday school teacher and choir member at San Lorenzo Baptist Church, a room mother at Halcyon Elementary School and a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 518. She was also a former employee at McDonald’s in San Leandro and at Walden Books in Bay Fair Mall. She helped and chaperoned San Leandro High School’s band on various trips to Disneyland and other places to perform from 1973 to 1978.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Russell and Evelyn Colvin, her brother, Donald Colvin, and her loving husband of 49 years, Eugene Wilson. She is survived by her two sons, Steve (wife Kathy) of Swansea, Illinois, and Michael (wife Janelle) of San Leandro, California; grandchildren, Brian (wife Jennifer) of Houston, Texas, Peter (wife Jamie) of Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew of Houston, Texas, and Stephanie of Des Moines, Iowa; step grandchildren, Lauren of Marietta, Georgia, and Robert of St. Charles, Missouri; great grandchildren, Brody, Cameron and Sloane; niece, Teri Kuhlman, and nephews, Jeff Little and Brad Little.
Memorial service will be held February 15, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship, 180 Lewelling Boulevard, San Lorenzo, California 94580.
