Jean Howd's Obituary
Jean Louise Howd a Hayward, California resident entered into rest May 14, 2004 in San Francisco. Born in Palmerton, Pennsylvania on October 29, 1922, she was 81 years of age. She enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, traveling and bowling. She belonged to VFW, Good Shepard Lutheran Church and Lutheran Brotherhood. Worked at General Mills, Bank of America, GMC and Kimber Farms. She was a WWII Veteran and Navy Wave. Loving mother of Janice Mote of Hayward, Diana Salter of Hayward, Jocelyn Evangelista of San Leandro and Douglas Howd of Fremont. Dear sister of Charlotte Frace of Pennsylvania, Paul Burkhart of Illinois and Robert Burkhart of New Jersey. Devoted grandmother of nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her husband of 51 years Clinton Howd and son Robert Howd preceded her in death. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial service Friday, May 21, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA."Service of Marked Distinction"
