April 29, 1939 – Oct 13, 2008 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith” II Timothy 4:7. Mrs. Jean Henderson was born April 29, 1939 in El Paso, Texas to the late Pauline Nichols and James White. She departed this life on October 13, 2008 in San Ramon, CA. Jean was very loved by all she came into contact with, her smile and her sense of humor and mostly for the love of her family. Jean leaves to cherish her memory, 3 daughters, D’ana Washington and son-in-law, Harvey Washington of Georgia, Linda Parkinson and son-in-law, John Parkinson of San Ramon, and Jacqueline Cumby and fiancé, Tony Jones of Sacramento. “Just Jean” leaves behind her big brother, Lengurs Haynes aka Bud and sister-in-law Esther Haynes of El Paso, Texas and sister, Pauline Harris of North Carolina. Jean leaves seven grandkids: Harvann, Shawncee and Eric Washington of Washington, Erica Massey of Vallejo, Airman Josef Phillips of San Ramon, and Johnise and Johnell Parkinson of San Ramon, as well as 5 great grandchildren, as she refers to as the “Tribe”: Janiah, Jaden and Jada and their father, Jory Chrisman-Bell, Rashad and Cordae Brown of Washington. Jean also leaves a host of family and friends from coast to coast. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Thurs.
