Janice Cook's Obituary
On the afternoon of June 26, 2023 our sweet Janice Cook slipped away to dance in her own garden, unfettered by her body, her soul soaring to new heights, On Earth, Janice Lorene Cook was born to Frank and Edna Cook on January 31st 1939 in Kingsburg California. She graduated from high school and went to New York for a year to study fashion design. Upon her return she worked as a bond underwriter for the Continental Insurance Company and then furthered her career as a senior underwriter for the Hartford Insurance Company from which she retired. She was an accomplished seamstress and her baked goodies had a habit of evaporating into everyone‘s tummy. Never one to sit on her laurels, she proceeded to learn how to drive, passing her test and buying her beloved red Toyota corolla. Janice was on the board of directors of Life Elder Care where she loved to interact and visit seniors. She was talented in fund raising for Life Elder care and was the force behind the annual Senior Nights Ball where the elderly citizens of Fremont would be able to enjoy a festive night out. Janice loved musicals and she had a group of special ladies with which she shared this hobby. She treasured her friends and family, and she travelled the world always ready for new experiences. She thoroughly enjoyed her life to the fullest. We will miss you dear Janice. Thank you for lighting up our lives with the special glow and love that only you could provide.
