Just missing you so much.. this took you so quickly….. its difficult so very difficult
I’ve known Janet since I was about 11 years old, Toni and I became friends one summer and next thing you know Janet and my mom (Susan Binford) became best friends. They had a long and very close relationship, most people should be so lucky, our families grew up together, we shared holidays, vacations and ate dinner together pretty much every night. Janet was always there for me and treated me and my brother like her own kids. Her and my mom would could enough food to feed the entire neighborhood and a lot of times they really did. If you wanted to come over for dinner you barely even had to ask. Anyway my point is that janet thought and cared for a lot of people, and that memory will never go away, no one will forget her generosity. I have thousands of memories but the most important one to me is that she made my mom very happy to have such an amazing best friend, and I know it hurts her every single day. I promised her that our family would always be a part of hers. So Toni, Matt, Brian and all her grandchildren will always be considered family to us. It’s funny to think that this all started 23 years ago and they remained very close friends for that long. Not many people can say that. I love her and she will always be in my heart and memories.
There is no way to fully express how much Janet meant to me and my family. She was always there to say a word of encouragement or give me a kick in the behind when needed. When I worked at Winton, Janet was always busy keeping the office running smoothly. Janet was an amazing cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Janet would always light up when she talked about her family. Dennis was the love of her life and their kids are an extension of their love. Being a grandmother was a role that Janet was made for. Even though our conversations were either talking on the phone or by email I could tell that she was so in love with her granddaughters. In our last phone call in late May 2014, she was so anxious to see her newest granddaughter waiting to be born. Janet will always be missed but never forgotten. Dennis, Matt, Brian and Toni I am so sorry for your loss. Know that y’all are in my prayers. Much love, Sheila Ludwigs.
I am so thankful that I had a friend like Janet. She had the ability to know when someone needed a word of encouragement or a kick in the behind and she didn’t hesitate to do either. Will miss you always, but never forget you.
I have managed the Apts behind Winton for 30 plus years and was so upset when I saw the Winton sign saying “we will miss you” I really will miss her as she was always the person I went to at the school for information. My heart is very heavy and my prayers go out to her family. If I can be of any help please don’t hesitate to call. With much love, Mrs Paula Armstrong
I last saw Janet at a baby shower and she was so bubbly and full of life that her passing seems unbelievable. I have always gotten a school from her and I found out about her illness when I went to get mine this year. She brought something special to Winton School and made my time there great. I shall miss her smile and chats. Keep smiling, Janet.
My heart aches for Janet and her family, I was shocked when I heard the news, I became friends with her thru Winton when my youngest son (now 26) attended, we talked and laughed all the time and shared stories about our kids, as I spent many days going to the office to see what my son had done, Janet always had a soft spot for my son ?? I saw her in the store a couple days before she found out she was sick, my prayers to all her family, I will sure miss her ??
I met Janet at Ruus Elementary School where she was a tireless volunteer who always had a smile and a kind word for teachers and students alike. I’m sure her family will miss her the most, but wanted them to know what a valuable human being she was to so many. My condolences and prayers. Jennifer Jones-Martinez
Me and Janet first met at Ruus, where we were both on the PTA. She did so much for the school. So sorry for her children’s loss. She was a wonderful lady.
My sympathy is extended to your family. Matt and Toni, I enjoyed getting to know your mom when I taught at Tennyson. She was a great lady!
