Janet Elaine Fernandez's Obituary
Janet E. Fernandez age 83 passed away Saturday February 24,2024. She was born August 15, 1940 the daughter of the later Otis Drewry and Willie Smith Drewry. She was married to Kenneth Fernandez and he preceded her in death in 1992. Mrs. Fernandez worked as a beautician and was also a librarian for over two decades. she was a dedicated mother and housewife and also was a devoted caregiver assisting with her parents, her husband, and her grandson whom she raised. She enjoyed crafts for every holiday and cake decorating. she also enjoyed camping and the annual family trip to the lake for waterskiing. She loved company, had a host of friends, and loved animals. In the 1970's she remolded the family home and the progress was featured in the local newspaper. Mrs. Fernandez is survived by her three daughters Vicki (Ben) Blevins, Sheryl (Nick) Hall, and Susan (Chuck) James; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and one sister Cathy (Bob) Gendreau.
