Janet Andrews Crook's Obituary
Janet passed peacefully from this life the morning of August 28th after a gradual decline in health. Janet was born in San Francisco, CA. Janet retired from David Taylor Carderock Division, in Washington, DC and returned to beautiful Hayward, CA where she lived the remainder of her life.Janet attended Oakland Technical (Class of 1956) and then Concordia College. Janet moved to New York as a young woman to begin her career as a social worker. After marrying and enjoying time to travel she settled down to raise her two sons in Gaithersburg, MD. Janet enjoyed researching her family heritage, jewelry making, traveling, taking care of her many pets and spending time with her family and friends.Janet is survived by two sons: James F. Prince of San Francisco, CA and Raymond J. Prince (Joe) of Pevely, MO; daughter-in-law Tamatha Prince; four grandchildren: Danielle Prince, Austin Prince, Arielle Prince and Brandon Prince. Janet is also survived by two sisters: Marylin Fobian and Nancy Elrick (Charles): and numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Crook; her sister Ruth Andrews and her parents James and Clara Andrews.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 pm.
