Jane Clare Harding's Obituary
Jane Harding a Castro Valley resident entered into rest Wednesday, November 28, 2001 in Castro Valley. Born in Canada on July 29, 1897, she was 104 years of age. Jane lived in Hayward for 73 years before moving to Castro Valley. She and her husband owned and operated a chicken ranch. After they closed the ranch, she opened a knitting and yarn store. She taught knitting and crocheting. She loved to sew in her early years. Jane was active and lived alone until she was 102. Loving mother of one son Clare Harding of Dublin. Dear sister of Robertta Labutt of Mesa, Arizona. Jane was preceded in death by eight siblings.A private inurnment will take place at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544'Service of Marked Distinction'
