Jane S. Fung 's Obituary
Jane S. Fung 黄绍貞 was born on October 28, 1935 in Zhong-Shan City, Guandong Province of China to her parents Pao Lam Wong and Wi Ham Wu Wong. She was the third of eight children in the family.She spent her early childhood in China and later followed her family when they moved to Macau during World War II.In early 50s, she went to China for higher education. After attending health care training, she worked for the City of Guangzhou’s Municipal Health Bureau 广州市卫生局. In 1958, she got a temporary assignment working for Guangzhou Electric Motor Company. It was over there where she met her future husband and got married in 1959. They had a son and a daughter. She was a very caring mother for her two children.She continued to work for 广州市卫生局 until she left the country. In 1980s, she was honored to be certified as one of the first group of people in Guangzhou as a Statistician.In 1983, she emigrated to the United States. She worked for an electronic assembly house in Fremont as Quality Control Inspector until her early retirement in the mid-90s. She lived in Hayward with her husband for the rest of her life.Jane loved cooking, gardening, travelling, knitting, being with her grandkids, families and friends.After a long illness, she passed away on November 2, 2019 at the Windsor Post Acute Care in Hayward. She leaves a large family to mourn her passing, especially her dear husband Brian, her son Carl and family, her daughter Ava and family, two sisters and four brothers, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.Jane Fung will be dearly missed by those she loved and those who loved her.
