James Ray Cox a Castro Valley, California resident entered into rest Saturday, July 12, 2003 in Castro Valley. Born in Phillips, Oklahoma on July 24, 1920, he was 83 years of age. James liked leatherwork, model airplanes, golf and photography. He was a Real property Agent for City of Berkeley for 20 years. He was in the Air Force from 1942 to 1956. He was a member of the Hump pilot association, CBI, ATC and Hayward Elks Club. Dearly beloved husband of Pearl Jane Cox for 31 years. Loving father of Janet Vavra of South Dakota and Larry Urban of Santa Clarita, California. Dear brother of Bessie Cox of Modesto, California. Devoted grandfather of three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
