James Ray Magana's Obituary
James Ray Magana 2.15.67-11.6.11 44 yrs young passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, 11.6.11. Born at Letterman Army Hospital in SF, CA. Moved to Fremont, CA in the early 1970’s attended American High and Ohlone College. James Ray worked at ICEE inc., REMTEK corp., Walmart, and Western Shower Glass & Doors amongst other jobs. James Ray’s final responsibilities were the most fulfilling and meaningful for him as Fulltime Caregiver of his elderly parents, “Jim & Dori” Magana. He was the driver to and from church, medical appts, shopping trips and the occasional casino chaperone for the church and social groups. He enjoyed helping the senior group members learn how to handle the slot machines. He was “Godfather” & “Uncle” to many. James Ray also loved his many friends. He was the Designated Driver and made sure everyone had a ride to the party and a safe ride home. James Ray is survived by his parents, Zosimo “Jim” and Adoracion “Dori” Magana of Fremont, CA, his sister Zina & (Rich) Moore of Pacifica,CA, his “Granma Loly”-Maria Bell and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, Godchildren and nieces/nephews. He was a big loving man with a huge heart and many hearts are broken at his early passing. There will be Visitation and Rosary on Thursday, 11.17.11 from 5p-9p. Memorial and Inurnment will be on Friday, 11.18.11 from 10a-12n.
