JAMES RAY CHEATHAM's Obituary
James Ray Cheatham 11/08/1944 – 03/25/14Jim was born in Temescuh, Oklahoma in 1944 to Jay and Alice (Teenie) Cheatham. He moved with his parents to California as a young child. His parents owned a gas station in Sunnyvale where he worked on cars, including his father’s race car. He became a fantastic mechanic and worked for Carlson Porsche & Audi for 17 years and owned his own shop, Newark Tires, for several years. He has three children of his own but raised five as if they were his own. He was known for his sharp wit, darts and his fabulous pool game. The last 15 years he lived with his partner Katie Moreau, her daughter Mary and her children. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. He is survived by his children James Steven Cheatham, Kenneth Cheatham and Kathy Miller, his step children Robert Williams and Rebecca Williams, grandson Timothy Cheatham and his partner Katie Moreau, her daughter Mary Moreau and Mary’s children AJ and Alice.
