James Brandenburg's Obituary
Mr. James Brandenburg was born on April 11, 1951 in San Leandro, where he lived with his parents Fred & Cecelia Brandenburg until 1972. He was the 2nd of their three children.He attended San Leandro High School. After he graduated from Chabot College, he became a Park Supervisor. He retired in 2010 after serving 35 years.Mr. Brandenburg married Yvonne Turra on November 11, 1972 at Saint Leander’s Catholic Church in San Leandro, CA.He joined the Army National Guard and served his country proudly for 14 years. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Livermore for numerous years. James loved to fish, golf, and camp. But he truly loved spending time with his family and friends. He has known Alix Decker and Steve Souza since childhood, however, he has other many lifelong friends which he has met through work or other organizations Mr. Brandenburg was involved with. His most important event in his life, after marrying Yvonne, was the birth and raising of his two sons, Fred and Kevin.He leaves his wife of 45 years, Yvonne (Turra) Brandenburg; his son Fred; his son Kevin, and his wife Yvonne (Y2B2) Brandenburg; his sister Carole Ann Davis; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his granddog, Tiny. He is preceeded in death by his sister, Judy Rose.
