Jaime Patajo Sigua's Obituary
Jaime Patajo Sigua February 11, 1923 – February 14, 2016 Resident of Union City, CA Jaime P. Sigua passed away peacefully on February 14, 2016 at the age of 93. Jaime was born in Tayug, Pangasinan, Philippines. As a young man he fought during the Japanese Occupation of the Philippine Islands as a guerilla of the Philippine Army. After World War II he joined the US Navy in November 1945 and during his 20 plus years in the US Navy he participated in the Korean War and the Vietnam War and married his love Conchita in 1950. He retired from the US Navy in February 1966 and resided in the Philippines. The family moved to Daly City, CA in 1973 and moved to Union City in 1976. He also worked as a chef at Spenger’s Fresh Fish Grotto and the University Club, after retiring from the navy and permanently retired in 1983. Afterwards he and Conchita took many cruises and traveled to many countries enjoying their retirement together with friends and family. Jaime and Conchita were married for 65 years and had 4 children Jerry (wife Belen), Carolyn (husband Danilo Suva), Christopher (wife Roxy) and Jerome (wife Susana). There are 11 grandchildren: Alexander, Maria, Jeffrey, Calvin, Darryl, Cassandra, Caitlyn, Kirsten, Kenneth, Carson and Nathaniel and 1 great-grandchild Jaeden. Memorial service is Thursday, February 18th between 5:00pm – 9:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm at Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544. Funeral mass will be Friday, February 19th at 10:30am at St. Anne’s Catholic Church 32223 Cabello St. Union City, CA 94587.
