JAIME DALMAN LIBIRAN's Obituary
Jaime Dalman Libiran, better known as Jimmy, Dad, or Grandpa, passed away in Fremont, CA on December 14, 2015 at the age of 78.He was born in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte to Dominga Dalman Libiran and Jose Galvez Libiran as the fifth of eight children. He worked as a government employee at the Bureau of Lands in the Philippines. He married the love of his life on her 18th birthday on June 18, 1960 and together they had eight children. He immigrated to the United States in 1986 with his wife and five of his eight children. He continued to support, raise and grow his family in the Bay Area and in the Philippines.By 2015, Jaime and his wife successfully petitioned, immigrated, and reunited all eight of their children in America — which was his life long goal.Jaime worked as a Bank of America employee for many years, and later became an employee for Ikon Office Solutions. He can be remembered to be a very sociable and friendly man.Jaime was intelligent, politically-savvy, and constantly kept up to date with current events. He was always seen wearing the most fashionable shoes, hats, and jackets. Jaime was an incredible cook and often cooked for his family when he was able to do so.Jaime was an avid basketball fan, mahjong player, and loved to be around family. He spent many years taking care of a majority of his grandchildren — whom he loved so much.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gloria; their eight beautiful children, Lilybeth, Lynette, Joel, Lilyann, Jonathan, Joven, Liezl, and John Paul; and 21 grandchildren. He is also survived by his 7 siblings.Jaime’s sense of family and love radiated to all that he met. He was an incredible man that will be forever loved, and who’s smile will be missed dearly.Viewings will be held Saturday December 19, 5-9 PM and Sunday, December 20 from 5-9 PM with a vigil beginning at 6pm, Services at 10 am on December 21 at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home in Hayward. There will be NO reception to follow as the family respectfully requests privacy during this difficult time.
